Trimester Three – Week Three

Digital Fashion Group Academy – 3D Design

T/Shirt – exploring print layout, textures and material properties in CLO3D

Exploring styling and posing.

Following the tutorials and guided lessons, I’ve been exploring how to add objects like chairs and how to pose the avatar to fit. I’ve also been exploring altering the look of the avatars by adding textures and through changing the material settings. I’ve been able to create a print using Illustrator and Photoshop to create an additional displacement map to achieve a look that is fitting with my research. It was interesting to see the results of adding prints to the avatars body areas to consider what can be achieved.

Avatar sizing – Alvanon Size Range 38 – UK 12.

Using the Avatar editor to create a size specific avatar, creating a simple circle skirt and a polo shirt from the modular configurator and layering the garments.

Working on my portfolio & CV

Story Boarding the concept website

To get me started on designing the website and creating a layout using my visuals I have been using the platform Canva. As I’ve been going through the pages I’m beginning to realise that I am able to do more on the platform than originally expected and I am now choosing to use Canva to create all of my boards and some animated content as it will reduce the need to learn new software’s and techniques such as After Effects which will free up more time to create a collection and the content required to showcase my ideas. I’m more than happy with the way my ideas are building for the website and how everything is coming together, my aim for this week is to have a version of the site created so I can concentrate on organising myself for design development and working on the modular configurator to variations of garments.
