Digital Fashion Week NYC – NFT Edition
The space was so cool to navigate around and it has been an amazing experience to witness some of the fashion item and animations, which has provided me with further areas to research. I’ve watched the four webinars with lots of great talks around digital fashion, web3, NFT’s, ecommerce from key players in the digital fashion field.
Digital Fashion Group 101 Academy – Week 5
The group has been tasked with trailing a new software called Eva Engine with the addition of a trend prediction site, Heuritech.
Eva Engine
Eva Engine works by using AI technology which is able to turn a closed shape sketch into a 3D representation; fabrics, colours and prints can then be applied to generate 3D visuals that can be saved and turned into looks; the software is aimed at the fashion industry who may struggle to get to grips with other 3D software’s, like CLO3D and Browzwear. I can see the use for such an application like this especially with my knowledge of working with others in the industry, but at the minute I feel the software has some further developing to be done to make it a more useable application, it felt very slow and frustrating as once a fabric had been input you had to go through the process of generating or starting over again, also not all of the full functions were available and to complete the task I had to find a work around.

Heuritech
Heuritech is a trend prediction agency that uses AI technology to predict trends that are backed by data. The AI software that they use is able to analyse 2 million images a day from social media sites and is able to identify 2,000 individual items, textures, materials and prints. The website seem similar to WGSN but was more specific with upcoming trends for target countries with backed up data in the form of graphs, figures and images.

Compiling my research
I have spent most of this week putting together my research into a more informed and constructed manner that is clear to present without being too over informed by keeping the key points, facts and figures that I want to express.
Mixamo, Daz3D and CLO3D
I have been keen to explore using some of the animations provided by Mixamo and so have been watching tutorials from Stephy Fung’s youtube channel. I have taken avatars from both Daz3D and CLO3D and both of them have resulted in errors on the arms of the avatar and I am unable to find a resolve so feeling frustrated.

Website Review
I have been researching websites that are offering customizable made to order items, these include
- Unspun
- Sergio Rossi
- Vans
and have been compiling my research for these.
